Family Worship Resources (3/29/20)
It is important to us at HCLC to make sure the children still feel connected to their HCLC family. A PDF full of activities, for your children is available, all pertaining to the worship themes from this Sunday (3/29).
In addition to these resources, Suzanne Baggett is going live on our Facebookpage each Friday at 7:30 PM with a special devotion time for families with school aged children. You do not need a Facebook account to view the HCLC page.
Please, let us know if there is anything we can do to help connect with your children.
It is important right now to make sure Holy Cross keeps a secure financial foundation. Please consider signing up for electronic giving as a way to automate your regular weekly, bi-weekly or monthly offering.
To give, simply go to our secure website and click “Donate” to set up an automatic donation plan or download the Give+ app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Search for Holy Cross Lutheran Church (near the bottom of the list) and follow the prompts.
Bulletin for At Home Worship
HCLC will remain open for worship on Sunday, March 15. We will celebrate the Service of the Word liturgy at 8:30 and 11:00 am. If you are staying home due to illness or being in an at risk demographic, we would still like to include you in our worship. A copy of the bulletin can be downloaded at the following links. One is the bulletin as printed last Monday. The second is the insert we are using to change the service to Service of the Word instead of communion. The service will start with the regular bulletin and then move to the insert after the offering.
Tune into Facebook at 8:30 or 11:00 am to watch our service live. The video will also be available to watch at a later time through our Facebook page. The page is titled “Holy Cross Lutheran Church Herndon VA“. You can view all our resources including the live streaming even if you do not have a Facebook account.
If you stay home, we ask that you consider making your offering donation online. Please go to our website, click the “Donate” button and fill out the form as appropriate. You can also simply mail a paper check to the church. It is important to remember that in times like these the work of the church is important and we want to make sure our financial standing is firm to carry out our ministry for the community.
Activities for HCLC Families with School Aged Children
We know that everyone is spending time at home right now and might be looking for things to do. Since there is no Sunday School this week, we’d like to offer some resources for families with school aged children. Please use the links below to download some PDFs. Three of them are children’s bulletins for this coming Sunday. The fourth is a lesson plan for Sunday School during Lent.
We hope you find these resources helpful.
