As we come to the half-way point in the year I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the work you have been a part of over the past six months.
I would like to single out two projects that came to fruition just this past month. The first project I would like to talk about is the completion of raising money for the Transition Fund. In just over 6 months more than $26,000 was raised during this campaign. We now have the necessary funds in place to complete the process of calling a new pastor. This fund raising project was embraced by every member of the congregation in one form or another. The result was a highly successful campaign that everyone can be proud of.
The second item I wanted to thank everyone for is of a slightly more personal nature. During police week the congregation presented a book to my chief thanking our department for the work that we do. I want you all to know how much the other members of my department appreciated this book. I was truly touched by the care and work that everyone placed in making this gift for the members of my department.
As we move forward into the remainder of 2017, and beyond I am sure there will be challenges ahead. I am equally sure that we will continue to meet these challenges with same positive spirit we have displayed in the past, as always, led by Christ.
In JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself)
