Join with other members of Holy Cross as we participate in the Herndon Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We’ll be walking the track with other community groups at Herndon Middle School on June 11-12. Last year our team had a lot of fun as we formed closer relationships during this inspirational event.
Many of our church brothers and sisters have been diagnosed with cancer or have a loved one who has had the disease. The Relay for Life is an opportunity for us to show them we care by supporting the efforts of the American Cancer Society to fund research, promote awareness, and provide services for cancer patients and caregivers.
How can you get involved?
Join our team to walk at least one hour between noon on Saturday, June 11and 6:00 AM on June 12. Yes, walkers are needed throughout the night! Sign up on our team webpage: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/HCLCRelay2016 Then ask your family, friends, and coworkers to donate to your effort.
Donate to the Holy Cross team on our webpage. http://main.acsevents.org/goto/HCLCRelay2016 You can also share the webpage with your family and friends to ask them to donate to our team. Last year we raised $3,755. Can we make it to $4,000 this year?
Dedicate luminaria in honor or memory of someone who has had or is living with cancer. http://main.acsevents.org/goto/HCLCRelay2016 All members of the community are invited to attend the luminaria ceremony the evening of June 11.
Support our team by stopping by to visit and cheer us on! There will be lots of family activities during the community-wide event.
