The music program is once again in full swing at Holy Cross. It has been great to have everyone back on a weekly rehearsal schedule and our worship services continue to be full of great music. In addition to the regular Joyful Ringers, Celebration Ringers, and Sanctuary Choir rehearsals, I am starting a new emphasis on small ensembles. By now you have probably noticed various vocal and handbell quartets enhancing our worship. We have even had a two piano-eight hands quartet getting ready to play in worship. It has also been great to see some of our youngest members playing and singing in worship. It is wonderful to see them learn how to lead our praises as youth.
I know there are more than a few musicians in the congregation who cannot commit to regular weekly rehearsals like the Joyful Ringers, Celebration Ringers, and Sanctuary Choir have. Let me know if you would like to participate in some sort of small ensemble. It might be a vocal quartet, a handbell quartet, a piano duet, a piano/organ duet, or some other type of ensemble we haven’t thought up yet. Or, perhaps you play an instrument and would like to give playing in church a try. I am always looking for new ways to make more and better music in praise to the Lord. Please do not hesitate to speak with me about this if you are interested or have any questions.
Parents with children of all ages at HCLC – Please let me know if your child plays a musical instrument. I’d like to make sure they are included in our program.
Soli Deo Gloria!
