For our 45th anniversary during May, help us donate 45 care packages to 45 service men and women. Collection boxes will be in the narthex beginning May 18 through Memorial Day. Items needed are: chapstick, sunscreen, individual size drink mixes, energy bars, small crossword or puzzle books. All items will need to fit in quart-size plastic bags for shipment to Operation Stars & Stripes. For more information or to help assemble packages, contact Karen Faulkner at karen_faulkner@pfm.org.

Posted on: April 28, 2008Help make Mother’s Day a special day for the women at Embry Rucker Shelter in Reston. The 5th and 6th graders are collecting travel-size toiletries, small candies, and other appropriate items for small gift bags. Small gift bags are also needed. Please no candy with nuts! Donations can be dropped off in the Narthex through May 11. Gift bags will be assembled during Sunday School on Mother’s Day. Thank you for your help!
Posted on: April 17, 2008Don’t forget to include the Church’s gift card program in your grocery shopping plans! Giant and Bloom cards are available between services on Sunday morning. Everyone has to buy groceries, right, so why not get cards through this program to help you with this task and also help the congregation meet its needs? Use the gift cards to buy your food donation for Name Tag Sunday, and you double your efforts! All proceeds from the grocery card sales go to our reserve fund.
